With Resolution no. 39 dated February 22, 2013, the City Council approved the tariffs of the visitors' tax for the year 2013.
After many meetings between the City Council passed led by Marco Sarto and trade associations, and after the last eight meetings, including three within the established Council for Tourism, with the current council headed by Mayor Luciano Striuli today are been defined rates, as set out in the current Municipal Regulations, approved by Resolution of the City Council no. 88 of 23/11/2012, and reported in person, subject to the exemptions provided for and described in the resolution, in the following sizes:
Other facilities
Units furnished for tourism - residence - FLAT RATE: Euro 3,5 to 14 days.; Euro 7,00 for 15 days. to 30 days.
Other Facilities (Holiday home for rent, B & B, etc..): Euro 0.30 in the presence
In the case of stay longer than thirty days, if subject to regular contract, the tourist tax is fulfilling in advance and lump the signing of the contract: FLAT RATE: Euro 15,00.
Rates will apply during the whole year and will be effective from May 1, 2013. Followed by further meetings with the associations and the Advisory Council can help to define conditions of employment figures collected that will support and promotion of exhibitions and events, in addition to finance maintenance, use and recovery of cultural heritage and local environmental, as well as for local public services, as defined by DL n. 23 of 2011.
The City Council has decided to introduce a contribution to Living in order to maintain the high quality standards of local public services which also benefits tourism. With the contribution will also be guaranteed a varied entertainment program for guests and an active promotion of the City.
The revenue from the contribution of Living room has a bond of purpose, and therefore, as required by law, is intended to finance interventions in the field of tourism.
In founding Regulation, the town council has predicted that the use of the revenue is the subject of a special report to be presented to the City Council, is at an early stage that consuntiva, which describes the actions supported, after passing through the Consultation on Tourism , body wanted by the City Council (Resolution no. 240, 06.12.2012), with a view to participation and transparency and where are represented all economic operators in the sector.
Currently the Municipality is in the process of preparation of Financial Forecast for the year 2013 due to the expectation of the appropriate provisions of the Italian Government which allows to have certain items of incoming and outgoing. For this reason, at present, can be given a simple indication of the maximum allocation of tax revenue which is summarized as follows:
- Local Public Services (Ex: Transport summer lifeguard beach, summer enhanced public safety services, medical summer green maintenance and roads, etc..)
- Implementation sports, cultural attractions.
- Promotion of Tourism of the City in collaboration with the local consortium.
What is the contribution of Stay
Article. 4 of Legislative Decree no. 23/2011 introduces the possibility for municipalities to establish a contribution of Stay against those staying in accommodation situated in its territory. The contribution is calculated per person and night. It was introduced by Resolution of the City Council no. 88 of 29.11.2012, and is effective from 1 May 2012
Who collects
The visitors' tax shall be charged by the operators of accommodation facilities.
Who should pay
The visitors' tax is due from persons who are not residents of the City of Caorle staying in accommodation in the area.
How much
It is calculated per person, according to the rates approved by the City Council, by resolution no. 39 of 22.02.2013.
Exemptions
Pursuant to art. 4 of the Regulation on the Contribution of Living the City of Caorle, are exempt from payment:
a) Children up to twelve years of age;
b) The members of the police (state and local) and the national corps of firefighters who reside in accommodation for service requirements;
c) Workers employed in any form at the facilities or undertakings located in Caorle;
d) Students who reside for periods of study or vocational training, as attested by the respective universities, colleges or training organizations.
How to pay
The guest will pay the tax directly to the Manager of the accommodation in which you reside. The same handler must issue its receipt.
