CASA ALTA (SIENA)

Casa Alta is an old building dating back to the 14th century and it is placed at the top of the ancient Etruscan hamlet of Pompana, just a few miles away from the town of Murlo
The house is surrounded by four and a half acres of ground, partly used as a garden with a lovely and refreshing swimming pool, and partly as an olive growth and woodland
From its dominat position the view is magnificent all around the house

From Florence -

From the Firenze Certosa exit on the motorway A1 (Milano-Napoli), take the highway Autopalio directon Siena. Once in Siena follow the indications to the state road ss 2 "Cassia" (direction Buonconvento-Roma) and when in Buonconvento turn right at the sign Befa-Murlo. At the crossing to Befa, turn left and follow the road for about 2 miles, then turn to the right (direction Pompana) and when there it will be easy to locate Casa Alta, the building in the highest position of the ancient Etruscan site of Pompana, marked with #4 on the gate

- From Rome -

Take the motorway A1 (Milano-Napol) North until you reach the exit of Chiusi-Chianciano Terme. Leave the motorway at Chiusi-Chianciano Terme and follow the state road ss 146 to Chianciano, Montepulciano, Pienza, up to San Quirico d'Orcia. Turn right onto the state road ss 2 "Cassia" (direction Buonconvento). Once in Buonconvento turn left to Befa-Murlo and at the crossing to Befa, turn left and follow the road for about 2 miles, then turn right to Pompana and Casa Alta
